About The Position

Performs a broad range of financial planning and analysis for assigned entities. Monitors financial data against plans, forecasts, and budgets to identify trends and explain financial results. The role prepares financial and statistical reports, analyzes variances, supports budget and financial-model preparation, and works with leadership on financial systems education and reporting. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Ability to develop and use PC-based spreadsheets.
Ability to communicate effectively as an integral part of a team.
Ability to review financial information effectively, including variance and actual-to-budget analyses.
Ability to make effective recommendations to leadership.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently and oversee projects.
Independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.

Responsibilities

Prepare financial and statistical reports and monitor trends and variances.
Prepare reports comparing current actual results with budgeted targets and prior-year actual results.
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and existing monthly financial and statistical reports.
Develop new reports and analyses.
Assist Financial Analyst II and III staff with data compilation and report preparation.
Assist with preparation of financial models and the operating budget.
Perform special projects as required by the manager.
Produce financials by business unit to ensure data integrity and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes.
Partner with leadership to support financial systems education and reporting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
