About the position
The Financial Analyst role at Cardlytics is responsible for supporting the finance team and business partners by ensuring visibility on financial performance, building forecasts, and conducting in-depth analyses. The main focus areas include driving monthly budget analyses, managing expenses with department heads, driving process improvements, collaborating with accounting on month-end close, managing financial inquiries and ad hoc reports, and supporting financial modeling for business cases. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, previous working experience in finance or consulting, experience with financial models, and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. This role requires a highly detail-oriented and analytical individual.
Responsibilities
- Driving monthly actual versus budget analyses with rich commentary on variances
- Expense management with department heads including personnel, travel & entertainment, and software licenses
- Driving process improvements across departments to drive better visibility, faster results, and operational efficiency
- Collaborating with Accounting on month-end close
- Managing daily financial inquiries, ad hoc reports, and collaborating with other teams on projects and modeling
- Supporting financial modeling for business cases (e.g., pricing, new product expansion, expense)
Requirements
- An undergraduate bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline (including Finance, Economics or Science)
- Previous working experience of 2-5 years at a financial institution (bank, hedge fund, private equity), consulting firm, or in-house finance (highly desired)
- Experience with 3 Statement Financial Models (desired)
- Intermediated+ Skill with Excel/Google Sheets (highly desired)
- Highly detail-oriented, maintaining a high level of integrity, accuracy, and precision in your work
- Analytical, inquisitive, and tenacious when untangling problems and finding answers.
