About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking an experienced financial aid professional for its Queens, New York campus. The advisor helps students pursuing career-focused skilled trades education navigate financial aid and Title IV funding, including for shorter-term programs. The role supports students from application through Title IV clearance and involves managing student information, maintaining electronic files, and assisting students with specialized funding needs. The advisor also participates in campus orientations and student start events and collaborates with Financial Aid Managers and Regional Directors. The position offers the opportunity to help students access funding for career-changing skills training.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of current financial aid experience in higher education.
- Experience with Title IV funding processes and compliance.
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and corporate financial aid teams.
- A detail-oriented approach to data management and file maintenance.
- An associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Guide students through the complete financial aid process, from application to Title IV clearance.
- Manage student information systems, data entry, and electronic file maintenance.
- Support new, veteran, and agency students with specialized funding needs.
- Participate in campus orientations and student start events.
- Collaborate with Financial Aid Managers and Regional Directors.
