About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking an experienced financial aid professional for its Hicksville, New York campus. The Financial Aid Advisor helps students pursuing career-focused skilled trades education navigate financial aid, including Title IV funding for shorter-term programs. The role supports students from the financial aid application process through Title IV clearance and assists students with specialized funding needs.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of current financial aid experience in higher education.
- Experience with Title IV funding processes and compliance.
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and corporate financial aid teams.
- A detail-oriented approach to data management and file maintenance.
- An associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Guide students through the complete financial aid process, from application to Title IV clearance.
- Manage student information systems, data entry, and electronic file maintenance.
- Support new, veteran, and agency students with specialized funding needs.
- Participate in campus orientations and student start events.
- Collaborate with Financial Aid Managers and Regional Directors.
