About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking an experienced financial aid professional for its Hicksville, NY campus. The Financial Aid Advisor helps students pursuing career-focused skilled trades education navigate Title IV funding, with a focus on shorter-term programs. The role supports students from the financial aid application through Title IV clearance and works with students, families, campus teams, and corporate financial aid teams. Lincoln Tech has provided career training for 80 years in Healthcare, Automotive/Diesel, Skilled Trades, and Information Technology. The organization is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of current financial aid experience in higher education; this is essential.
- Experience with Title IV funding processes and compliance.
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and corporate financial aid teams.
- A detail-oriented approach to data management and file maintenance.
- An associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Guide students through the complete financial aid process from application to Title IV clearance.
- Manage student information systems, data entry, and electronic file maintenance.
- Support new, veteran, and agency students with specialized funding needs.
- Participate in campus orientations and student start events.
- Collaborate with Financial Aid Managers and Regional Directors.
