About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the finance group manager in developing the work program. Will monitor the subprogram activities. Research guidelines for problem solving and accurate data for guidance. Perform reconciliation and research needed to balance the work program and subprograms. Develop and maintain reports for financial management and monitoring. Will develop and provide training to stakeholders. Will provide support and guidance to the Financial Analysts staff. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.   • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Administration OR 5 years in Management or supervisory role to replace degree.
  • Possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks.
  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the subprogram to ensure balance. This includes coordination with internal partners. Perform reconciliation regularly.
  • Monitor the 2 year work program to ensure it is balanced. This includes coordination with stakeholders, internal and external partners. Regularly monitor activities, amendments and other requests.
  • Advising management on accounting problems, on the effects of accounting changes, and on measures proposed to revise program plans or current practices or to improve financial management.
  • Supporting external auditors in their work; coordinating and/or supporting internal audit functions.
  • Supervise and support finance staff.
  • Assist in work program closeout and new work program setup.
  • Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to support the delivery of the work program.
  • Conduct surveys to find opportunities for process improvements.
