This is Caterpillar As the Finance Director for Caterpillar Oil & Gas, you will provide leadership and oversight of the financial reporting, forecasting and business support functions. This role works across highly diverse and global teams to deliver insights that drive the business forward and partners with the business to develop and execute strategic priorities of the business, including solutions and services that meet customer needs, and drive profitable growth. The role reports to the Division CFO of Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division (COGMD) and supports the VP of Caterpillar Oil & Gas. COGMD has a diverse and global portfolio encompassing the brands Cat, MaK, and SPM. Over 2500 employees in 25 countries deliver excellence in manufacturing, sales, services and operations to our customers. The products and services of our business units Cat Oil & Gas, SPM Oil & Gas and Marine include engines, transmissions, pumps, flow iron, pressure control, carbon capture as well as systems integration and digital.

Requirements

  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material
  • Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related discipline with a strong background in accounting and budget development
  • Significant years of progressively responsible job-related experience

Responsibilities

  • Managing monthly financial analysis and reporting for the business
  • Providing oversight of the oil & gas services accounting and reporting functions
  • Leading the development of the financial forecasts and annual business plan
  • Delivering commercial support for the development of new business models and pricing decisions
  • Partnering with legal and commercial team from contract development through review and approval
  • Providing technical guidance and expertise on highly complex accounting issues
  • Developing essential business information to drive optimization of short and long-term value creation and the achievement of financial and non-financial objectives.
  • Provide strategic counsel to enhance value and performance and position the business for long-term success
  • Ensure proper trade-offs and focus on return-on-investments are driven in accordance with maximum total outcome for the enterprise
  • Championing a compliance first culture through ensuring high integrity reporting and a strong financial and regulatory (trade, anti-bribery, data privacy and fair competition) control environment.
