Directs the organization’s financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers. This role involves planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the organization’s fiscal functions. The Finance Director will develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports to assist senior management in their responsibilities. This position is also responsible for developing, enhancing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures to improve overall operations and effectiveness, providing strategic financial input, and continually improving the timeliness and accuracy of cash flow. Key responsibilities include oversight of the billing process to maximize collections, developing a reliable cash flow projection process, implementing process improvements, participating in contract negotiations, maintaining banking and external accounting relationships, managing tax treatment and compliance, developing employee incentive programs, and overseeing insurance programs to mitigate risk. The role may also involve managing the company in the absence of the President/CEO. Regular attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work on-site are required, along with the ability to work cooperatively, deal respectfully with others, perform multiple tasks concurrently, work in a fast-paced environment, and interchange with department members.
