About The Position

John Jones Auto Group is seeking an experienced and driven Automotive Finance Director to lead and support our Finance & Insurance operations. This position plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining strong profitability, compliance, and lender relationships across the dealership group. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, ethical, and performance-driven with a strong understanding of dealership finance operations, lender programs, and team leadership. This individual must work closely with sales leadership and dealership staff to ensure smooth deal flow, timely funding, and a consistent customer experience.

Requirements

  • Automotive dealership F&I experience required
  • Strong understanding of lender relationships and deal structure

Nice To Haves

  • Finance Director or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with Dealertrack or similar dealership management and finance systems preferred
  • Experience with GM and Stellantis brands preferred
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a professional, transparent, and customer-focused finance experience
  • Present financing, leasing, and protection product options clearly and ethically
  • Assist customers in securing financing through approved lending institutions
  • Ensure all deals are structured accurately and efficiently
  • Support sales managers and sales consultants in deal progression and approvals
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and long-term relationships
  • Present all available F&I products including: Vehicle Service Contracts, GAP Protection, Tire & Wheel Protection, Maintenance Plans, Key Replacement, Additional protection products as applicable
  • Maintain strong product penetration and per-copy averages
  • Monitor contracts in transit (CIT) and funding timelines
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate, complete, and compliant
  • Minimize chargebacks and funding delays
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, OEM, and lender regulations
  • Ensure adherence to dealership policies and ethical standards
  • Stay current on lender programs, compliance updates, and industry changes
  • Protect dealership profitability while maintaining customer trust
  • Ensure proper documentation and disclosure on every transaction
  • Work collaboratively with dealership leadership and department managers
  • Help train and mentor finance managers and sales staff
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented culture
  • Assist in creating consistent processes across the organization
  • Support operational goals, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain strong finance profitability and product penetrations
  • Deliver excellent customer satisfaction
  • Ensure timely funding and accurate paperwork
  • Minimize compliance and chargeback exposure
