Finance Director
About The Position
The City of Bridgeton, Missouri is seeking candidates for the position of Finance Director. This exempt position functions as the City's chief financial officer or finance director and highest-ranking finance professional, providing strategic financial leadership and oversight of all phases of the City's financial activities. The role performs accounting and payroll activities, manages benefits, prepares financial statements, ensures budgetary compliance, oversees internal controls, executes the City's investment policy, and performs various other financial analysis projects including the preparation of materials for the annual budget and audit. The Finance Director also oversees the finance staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, public/business administration, or a related field from an accredited university
- At least five years of experience in municipal accounting, finance, or a related field

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) designation
