About The Position

The Finance Associate will join the Reality Labs Finance team within Finance & Business Planning, supporting the Hardware Devices Finance team. This team oversees R&D investments across a portfolio of AI and AR glasses programs. The role drives forecast and budget inputs, tracks performance against plan, and converts financial results into clear insights for leadership. It offers broad exposure to engineering, product, and business teams, with direct interaction with finance and business leaders. The Finance Associate works closely with business partners and cross-functional teams on financial planning and analysis across a growing finance organization.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in FP&A, consulting, investment banking, business strategy, business operations, and/or analytics.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a relevant field.
Experience tailoring communication and messaging for audiences with varying levels of seniority and technical experience.
Understanding of financial statement analysis and core financial planning processes.
Proven track record of building cross-functional relationships and partnering with leadership across organizations.
Experience using Excel and analytical methods to translate large amounts of data into insights and recommendations.
Experience prioritizing competing workstreams based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, such as risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
Experience improving financial planning systems and tools, such as Oracle Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Fusion, or Cloud, to drive process efficiencies.
Ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact, such as efficiency gains or quality improvements.
Experience working with financial planning systems, preferably Oracle products such as Hyperion Essbase.

Responsibilities

Partner with Engineering leaders to build business reviews by tracking R&D investments, analyzing trade-offs, and preparing clear storylines and materials for leadership.
Drive forecast, budget, and long-range plan inputs, including bridges, scenarios, and risks-and-opportunities views that inform investment decisions; partner with cross-Reality Labs Finance teams on close and forecast.
Own monthly tracking of R&D investment performance against plan and forecast, analyze variances, surface trends and spending risks, and recommend actions to stay within budget.
Provide thought partnership and foster collaboration across the Reality Labs Finance organization.
Help define and implement scalable financial processes and support peer Finance teams in key systems efforts across Reality Labs Finance.
