About The Position

A premier global law firm is seeking a Finance Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors, and other sophisticated clients in complex financing transactions.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of finance, banking, leveraged finance, or commercial lending experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience representing lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions in complex financing transactions
  • Experience handling leveraged finance, acquisition finance, syndicated lending, secured lending, and other commercial finance transactions
  • Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security agreements, intercreditor agreements, commitment papers, and other financing documents
  • Experience structuring, managing, and closing sophisticated financing transactions
  • Working knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and secured lending concepts
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sophisticated matters while working directly with clients and deal teams
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with sponsor-backed transactions, asset-based lending, or other specialty finance transactions is preferred
