About The Position

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for managing contracts through cost-management efforts, establishing program cost baselines, supporting Estimate at Complete analyses, and providing clear financial insight to drive program success. This role involves creating, maintaining, and tracking program budgets for accurate financial reporting and funding analysis. It also includes coordinating the quarterly Estimate at Complete (EAC) process for Corporate Contract Status Reporting, forecasting Orders, Sales, Profit and Cash. The analyst will manage contracts through cost-management, processing invoices, addressing financial issues, monitoring expenditures, and supporting ad-hoc reporting. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Business Operations, and Finance, is essential to drive business outcomes. Performance analysis using the Earned Value Management System to highlight cost and schedule performance, Variance at Complete, and Estimate at Complete data is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related degree
  • Understanding of negotiating functional budgets and analyzing performance variances
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Demonstrates analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to stakeholders
  • Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Adapt to change and digital transformation

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of quarterly Estimate at Complete (EAC) process to include program Risks & Opportunities and experience with Contract Status Reporting (CSR)
  • Experience with financial tools including SAP, MFC Electronic Financial Systems (EFS), MFC Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE), MFC Billings and Oracle LM Financials
  • Awareness of 1LMX initiatives to include COBRA & Oracle
  • Knowledge of Direct Contracts: Fixed Price (FP) and Cost Plus (CP) contracts
  • Displays exceptional organization, communication and presentation skills
