About The Position
AIT Worldwide Logistics is expanding its Final Mile Service Provider Network and seeking contractor teams to meet customer demand in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area. Contractors may accept work based on their skills, equipment, and AIT requirements. Earnings are listed as $40,000–$100,000+ annually, depending on location and the work accepted, with weekly settlements. Work includes basketball hoop delivery and installation, fitness equipment delivery and assembly or repair, and other final-mile services such as furniture, home goods, and seasonal items. Service types include assembly-only work, typically performed by one person; delivery and assembly, typically performed by a two-person team; and repair work, typically performed by one person following manufacturer instructions and using manufacturer-provided parts.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Must be physically able and skilled to deliver and assemble products according to manufacturer specifications.
- Must be comfortable using mobile applications to complete orders.
- Must provide and maintain the tools and vehicles used to complete orders.
- Must have an EIN.
- Must comply with AIT’s vehicle, registration, and insurance requirements.
- AIT conducts background checks and drug screens for all owners, drivers, and helpers.
- A certificate of insurance (COI) must meet AIT requirements.
- A two-person contractor team is required for most work; one-person work is available for assembly-only and repair services.
- A pickup, van, Sprinter, or small box truck must be owned or leased for applicable work; a vehicle is not required for assembly-only and repair work.
- DOT compliance is required; an MC number is required for some interstate work.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site assembly of products according to manufacturer specifications.
- Pick up products from local retailers, deliver them to customers’ homes, and assemble them according to manufacturer specifications.
- Repair products at customers’ homes according to manufacturer instructions using manufacturer-provided parts.
- Complete accepted orders using required tools, vehicles, and mobile applications.
