Final Mile Delivery, Assembly, Repair Contractor Teams - Philadelphia PA
About The Position
AIT Worldwide Logistics is expanding its Final Mile Service Provider Network and seeking contractor teams to handle customer delivery, assembly, and repair work in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. Contractors may earn $40,000–$100,000+ annually depending on location and the work accepted, with weekly settlements. Contractors choose which available jobs to accept, provided the work matches their skills, equipment, and AIT requirements. Work includes basketball hoop delivery and installation, fitness equipment delivery and assembly or repair, and other final-mile categories such as furniture, home goods, and seasonal items. Most delivery and assembly work is performed by a two-person team; assembly-only and repair work may be completed by one person. Contractors must supply and maintain their own tools and, where applicable, vehicle(s), and comply with AIT’s vehicle, registration, insurance, and other requirements.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Physically able and skilled to deliver and assemble products according to manufacturer specifications.
- Comfort using mobile applications to complete orders.
- Must provide and maintain tools and vehicle(s) used to complete orders.
- Must have an EIN.
- Must comply with AIT’s vehicle, registration, and insurance requirements.
- AIT conducts background checks and drug screens for all owners, drivers, and helpers.
- A two-person contractor team is needed for most work; assembly-only and repair work may be one-person jobs.
- An owned or leased pickup, van, sprinter, or small box truck is needed for most work, but not for assembly-only and repair work.
- A certificate of insurance (COI) meeting AIT requirements is required.
- DOT compliance is required; an MC number is required for some interstate work.
Responsibilities
- Complete on-site assembly of products according to manufacturer specifications.
- Pick up products from local retailers, deliver them to customers’ homes, and assemble them according to manufacturer specifications.
- Repair products at customers’ homes according to manufacturer instructions using manufacturer-provided parts.
- Use mobile applications to complete orders.
- Provide and maintain the tools and vehicle(s) used to complete accepted orders.
- Accept only jobs that match the team’s skills, equipment, and AIT requirements.
