About The Position

AIT Worldwide Logistics is expanding its Final Mile Service Provider Network and seeking contractor teams to meet customer demand in State College, Pennsylvania. Contractors may earn $40,000–$100,000+ annually, depending on location and the work accepted, with weekly settlements. Contractors choose which available jobs to accept, provided the work fits their team’s skills, equipment, and AIT requirements.

Services include assembly-only work, delivery and assembly, and repair. Most delivery and assembly work uses a two-person team, while assembly-only and repair work can be completed by one person. Work opportunities include basketball hoop delivery and installation, fitness equipment delivery, assembly and repair, and other final-mile categories such as furniture, home goods, and seasonal items.

Contractors must supply and maintain the required tools and vehicles, meet AIT’s vehicle, registration, insurance, and compliance requirements, and use mobile applications to complete orders. A pickup, van, sprinter, or small box truck is needed for most work, but is not required for assembly-only or repair work. An MC number is required for some interstate work.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Physical ability and skills to deliver and assemble products according to manufacturer specifications.
• Ability to use mobile applications to complete orders.
• Must provide and maintain tools and vehicles used to complete orders.
• Must have an EIN.
• Must comply with AIT’s vehicle, registration, and insurance requirements.
• Must provide a certificate of insurance that meets AIT requirements.
• Must meet DOT compliance requirements.
• AIT conducts background checks and drug screens for all owners, drivers, and helpers.
• A two-person contractor team is needed for most work; one-person service is available for assembly-only and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Accept only jobs that match the contractor team’s skills, equipment, and AIT requirements.
• Deliver and install basketball hoops, including portable and in-ground models.
• Deliver and assemble fitness equipment and other products according to manufacturer specifications.
• Assemble products at customers’ homes for assembly-only orders.
• Repair products at customers’ homes according to manufacturer instructions using manufacturer-provided parts.
• Use mobile applications to complete orders.
• Provide and maintain the tools and vehicles used to complete orders.
