About The Position

The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented individual to support multiple projects, including Reading Buddies Cross Age Tutoring and Computer-Assisted Collaborative Strategic Reading (CA-CSR). The role may also support additional projects as determined by the direct supervisor. The position is based at the UT Main Campus and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. It is expected to continue until August 31, 2027, with the earliest start date of October 28, 2026.

The successful candidate will support project leaders, graduate students, and school stakeholders in efforts to improve literacy outcomes for students. Responsibilities include preparing materials and supporting professional learning for the federally funded Reading Buddies project, as well as helping schools implement CA-CSR through collaboration, data collection and some analysis, professional learning, and dissemination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Current teacher certification in any U.S. state.
• Eagerness to collaborate with project leaders, graduate students, and school stakeholders to improve literacy outcomes for students.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

• Presentation skills.
• Master's degree in a relevant field with 7 years of relevant experience and 5 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Classroom teaching certification in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Support the principal investigator of the federally funded Reading Buddies project with materials preparation and professional learning.
• Collaborate with the principal investigator and project coordinator to support schools implementing Computer-Assisted Collaborative Strategic Reading (CA-CSR), including data collection and some analysis, professional learning, and dissemination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
