Field Technician / Mechanic
About The Position
Pape’ Machinery, Inc.’s Construction & Forestry Division is seeking an experienced Field Technician / Mechanic in Kent, Washington. The technician works on construction and forestry equipment at customer locations to keep equipment operating effectively and maximize uptime. The role involves traveling in a fully equipped Pape’ service vehicle, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and interacting with customers. The position is described as a journeyman-level role for handling challenging repair jobs. Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing all brands of heavy diesel equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self-motivation.
- Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- A driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must provide own tools.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations in a Pape’ service vehicle to work on construction and forestry equipment.
- Diagnose and repair heavy diesel equipment.
- Help ensure customer equipment runs in peak form and maximizes uptime.
- Communicate and interact with customers while performing service work.
