About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc.’s Construction & Forestry Division is seeking an experienced Field Technician / Mechanic in Sparks, Nevada. The technician works on construction and forestry equipment at customer locations to keep equipment running at peak performance and maximize uptime. The role involves traveling in a fully equipped Pape’ service vehicle, carrying out repairs and diagnostics, interacting with customers, and handling challenging jobs as a journeyman technician. Pape’ offers training, mentoring, ongoing support, and opportunities to grow skills and advance within the company.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing all brands of heavy diesel equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• A driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair construction and forestry equipment at customer locations.
• Help ensure customer equipment operates at peak performance and maximize uptime.
• Travel in a Pape’ service vehicle to perform field service work.
• Interact with customers and provide reliable, high-quality service.
