About The Position

This is a remote role supporting East Pennsylvania, specifically the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. The Field Service Engineer II will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes. This role involves applying mechanical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment, interacting with healthcare professionals, and understanding how medication management systems drive efficiency. There are opportunities for advancement and learning specialized automated or robotic products.

Requirements

  • Coursework in Network Engineering, Robotics, or Electronics.
  • Experience working in a hospital environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or a related discipline AND one year of relevant experience; OR Associate's Degree/Trade School Certification/Military Training in an Engineering/Technology related discipline, AND four years of relevant experience; OR seven years equivalent experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet Omnicell's insurance coverage requirements.
  • Must have their own vehicle in acceptable working condition.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations for medical devices and Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform onsite troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance of Omnicell's electro-mechanical and automation solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with director-level nursing and pharmacy staff and tackle problems of advanced scope.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
  • Thoroughly document all service events according to Omnicell's policies and procedures.
  • Meet company guidelines for response time and service levels.
  • Escalate product bugs, malfunctions, and design issues through support channels.
  • Participate in various staff meetings.
  • Maintain service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage parts inventory and return materials process.
