About The Position

RIDE Services is seeking a hardworking Field Service Technician for the Customer Service Department. The field technician will be responsible for working at Customer facilities diagnosing and repairing buses/trucks under warranty and performing Customer support and campaigns required by RIDE or the Customer vehicles. The technician will complete work assignments at Customer facilities, RIDE Locations and may be asked to perform other maintenance duties as assigned. This role involves responding to customer requests, comments, or complaints, assisting customers with maintenance-related issues, ordering parts, coordinating repairs, and providing daily service reports. The technician will also coordinate new vehicle delivery acceptance with customers in the US and Canada and provide daily status reporting to the Customer Service Manager/Supervisor, following up with Parts clerks for parts availability and ETA.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of transit bus maintenance operations and field service support.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience.
  • EV or HV experience is essential.
  • EV Truck and/or Transit bus Technician experience, preferably working in a field service environment.
  • Experienced in bus maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with computer based diagnostics in bus maintenance operations.
  • Ability to travel and work in the Customer’s environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in home state and no more than one infraction during previous three years.
  • Ability to obtain Class B with Passenger Endorsement if not currently held.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with bus Electric drive systems preferred.
  • Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
  • ASE Transit Bus Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work assignments at Customer facilities and RIDE Locations.
  • Perform diagnosis and repairs of warranty-related issues.
  • Provide Customer interface and reports on field maintenance activities.
  • Respond to Customer requests, comments, or complaints.
  • Assist Customer with maintenance related issues.
  • Order parts as needed.
  • Coordinate repairs.
  • Provide daily Service reports/Parts requisitions.
  • Coordinate new vehicle delivery acceptance with Customers in US and Canada.
  • Provide daily status reporting to Customer Service Manager/Supervisor.
  • Follow up with Parts clerks for parts availability and ETA.
