Field Service Technician

About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking knowledgeable, customer-focused technicians to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks. The technician performs planned maintenance on customer lift trucks, maintains a service van and its inventory, and completes paperwork after each job. The role includes a company vehicle and primarily operates on first shift, with 40 hours per week plus overtime.

Requirements

Less than 2 years of related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.

Nice To Haves

Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree.
Previous lift truck repair experience.
Welding experience.
Knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical and air tools, a torch, an arc welder, and various types of testing equipment.
Industry-related training.
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through.
