About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a customer-focused Field Service Technician to service lift trucks. The technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs Crown and other makes of lift trucks, performs planned maintenance at customer locations, maintains a service van and its inventory, and completes paperwork after each job. The position includes a company vehicle, award-winning service training, uniforms, specialty tools, and opportunities for career advancement. The schedule is primarily first shift, with 40 hours per week plus overtime.

Requirements

Less than 2 years of related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Nice To Haves

Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree.
Previous lift truck repair experience.
Welding experience.
Knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical and air tools, a torch, an arc welder, and various types of testing equipment.
Industry-related training.
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through.
