About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused technician to service lift trucks. The position involves diagnosing and repairing Crown and other makes of lift trucks, performing planned maintenance, maintaining a service van and its inventory, and completing job paperwork. Service technicians receive award-winning service training and a company vehicle. The role is primarily on first shift and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, plus overtime.

Requirements

Less than 2 years of related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through.
Legally authorized to work in the United States; the employer does not provide work-authorization sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree.
Previous lift truck repair experience.
Welding experience.
Knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical and air tools, a torch, an arc welder, and various types of testing equipment.
Industry-related training.
