About The Position

Valet Living is hiring a part-time Field Services Technician to maintain clean, safe, and well-kept apartment communities. The role involves maintaining disposal areas, dumpster enclosures, and common spaces; handling trash, recycling, and compost; and performing general porter services. Technicians work independently, use company-provided equipment and a smartphone app to record completed service, and work outdoors while walking properties and climbing stairs.

The position pays $24 per hour and requires 10 hours per week. Shifts are during daytime hours, starting at 6:00 AM, on either a Monday–Friday or Saturday–Wednesday schedule. Assigned communities are within the employee’s local area. The application window is ongoing.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have reliable transportation: an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; proof is required upon hire.
• Must have a smartphone with a data plan to use the work app.
• Able to work independently, follow routines, and stay on task.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable walking long distances and climbing stairs.
• Able to safely operate a manual tamper to compact trash.
• Willing to work around trash, recycling, and waste.
• Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain disposal areas, dumpster enclosures, and common spaces to keep apartment communities clean, functional, and compliant.
• Evenly distribute and compact trash using company-provided equipment.
• Sort and handle recycling and compost materials according to company procedures.
• Perform porter services, including sweeping, cleaning enclosures, and removing debris.
• Remove pet waste from designated areas using provided supplies.
• Empty trash from public and common-area receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Use a smartphone app to log service activity and confirm completion.
• Walk properties, climb stairs, and work outdoors during shifts.
