About The Position
A global transportation technology manufacturer is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide technical support, installation, and troubleshooting for advanced hardware and software systems nationwide. The role involves frequent field travel, up to 75%, and offers a base salary of $75,000–$88,000 per year, with overtime available.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of technical field service experience, or military experience in electronics, avionics, electrical, or technical ratings.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Computer and software proficiency.
- Effective customer communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA certification.
- Military experience in electronics, avionics, electrical, or technical ratings is highly valued and considered equivalent to the field service experience requirement.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for system installations, pre-startups, and maintenance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues on site.
- Provide hands-on customer training and build strong, professional client relationships.
- Document preventive and corrective maintenance activities clearly and accurately.
