Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical findings professionally.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable record.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as needed for on-call field service.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment.
  • Perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators) to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
  • Replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, gearboxes and torque critical components using specialized tooling and specs.
  • Perform essential diagnostic tests using a variety of portable electronic equipment (Megger®, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO) to ensure system reliability.
  • Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment utilizing bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning to ensure a professional finish.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards while working independently or as part of a high-performing team to hit mutual project goals.
