Field Service Technician
About The Position
TERRA SONIC INTERNATIONAL is hiring an entry-level Field Service Technician for its Field Support Division, based in Monroe, North Carolina. This temporary, full-time position is expected to last 3–6 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent full-time position. The role supports rig demonstrations, rig commissioning, equipment setup, and field operations alongside experienced personnel. It offers hands-on learning for someone dependable, physically capable, safety-conscious, receptive to direction, and willing to learn. Travel is central to the position: full-time travel is required, including substantial time on the road and extended periods away from home. The work involves outdoor job sites, changing weather, demanding conditions, and variable hours. Early starts and occasional weekend work may be required.
Requirements
- Physical strength and stamina for demanding outdoor work, including repeated lifting, carrying, bending, and climbing; use appropriate lifting equipment and team assistance.
- Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
- Comfort working outdoors in changing weather and job-site conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness and availability to travel full-time, including extended periods away from home, with flexibility for early starts, variable hours, and occasional weekend work.
Nice To Haves
- A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is considered an asset.
- Experience in construction, equipment maintenance, field operations, or similar hands-on work is helpful.
- Previous experience with TERRA SONIC equipment is not required.
Responsibilities
- Support rig demonstration activities and assist with rig commissioning.
- Assist the Field Support team with daily equipment and site activities.
- Handle tools, hoses, and supporting field equipment.
- Load, unload, secure, and organize equipment for transport.
- Support equipment setup, mobilization, and demobilization at job sites.
- Assist with cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and basic maintenance under supervision.
- Keep trucks, rigs, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow safety procedures, wear required protective equipment, and communicate clearly with the field team.
