About The Position

K&R Operating is hiring a full-time Field Service Technician based out of Oklahoma. The role performs maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on natural gas engines and compressors, diagnoses compressor-system failures, and works to optimize equipment performance. The technician must comply with company and customer procedures, complete required paperwork, continue developing technical skills, and present a professional image. The position requires working both independently and as part of a team, travel for short or extended periods, variable shifts, and call-outs.

Requirements

• Proficiency in compressor and engine maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of surface production equipment.
• Troubleshooting skills for general electronic and mechanical control problems.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools and maintain a full set of hand tools as defined by company standards.
• Willingness to travel for short and extended periods.
• Willingness to work different shifts and take call-outs.
• Good customer-relations skills.
• General computer skills and ability to use a computer as a diagnostic tool.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in engine and compressor maintenance.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record that can be maintained.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work for reasonable lengths of time in hot and cold environments.

Nice To Haves

• Formal vocational training.
• Caterpillar and Waukesha engine experience.
• Ariel, GE, and other gas compressor experience.
• CAT Training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a wide variety of natural gas engines and compressors.
