About The Position

The Field Service Technician provides field service and support for industrial automation equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, installation, maintenance, and training. Work is performed at customer facilities and at company-owned locations. This is a remote position based in Ohio with 80–100% travel. The company strives to have technicians home on weekends and in their home territory one week per month.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Machine programming experience with PLCs and HMIs.
• Experience with safety system, network, and Fieldbus programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience in robotic processes.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
• Ability to travel as required; the position involves 80–100% travel.

Nice To Haves

• Technical or vocational school education.
• Associate degree focused in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or robotics.
• Two or more years of electrical troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, solve problems, and perform testing, training, installations, and maintenance.
• Deliver a consistent, positive, and exceptional customer service experience.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical, mechanical, PLC, HMI, robot programming, network, and Fieldbus issues.
• Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and budgets.
• Travel as required for installations, start-ups, and field support to complete projects successfully.
• Support all aspects of equipment installation, including rigging, alignment, wiring, and start-up.
• Complete all work-related documentation on time.
• Identify potential future opportunities with customers while onsite.
• Assist with other activities that support ongoing strategies.
