Field Service Technician - Augusta, GA

ACT Power Services•Augusta, GA
•$25 - $35•Onsite

About The Position

The Solar Field Service Technician is responsible for safe, productive, day-to-day onsite operations at commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic plants. The role performs and supports preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on solar modules, trackers, inverters, and medium-voltage equipment to help maximize production. The technician is a foundational operator in ACT’s ACTivate Technician Track, developing technical skills, safety competency, and familiarity with company culture under the supervision of senior technicians and Field Leadership. Candidates may be hired externally or promoted internally; prior experience in another ACTivate Technician Track role is not required if the minimum qualifications have otherwise been gained. This is a field-based position at customer sites where ACT Power Services provides Operations & Maintenance services, not at the company’s main office or as a traditional work-from-home role. Listed locations are preferred based on the primary site assignment, but candidates in other locations may be considered. Travel to other U.S. sites may be required based on business and operational needs. The position requires around 20% travel, extended hours, and participation in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends as needed. Work is mostly outdoors at job sites, sometimes with offices available, and requires working in inclement weather.
