Field Service Technician I - Augusta, GA
About The Position
The Field Service Technician I prepares a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products for patient use by cleaning, disinfecting, checking operational function, and performing minor repairs on Baxter and non-Baxter products. The role also troubleshoots and repairs electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, supports product readiness, and performs deliveries, removals, and service work at service centers and customer accounts. The position requires safe operation of a fleet vehicle and direct customer contact, with service delivered in a timely and professional manner. On-call coverage may be required around the clock, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and driving record.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
- Troubleshoot devices and repair malfunctioning components.
- Use appropriate tools to make required adjustments and repairs.
- Clean and disinfect medical products and perform operational function checks to prepare products for patient use.
- Provide on-call coverage, potentially 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and visit customer accounts as needed.
- Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1,680 pounds.
- Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contracts.
- Safely operate a box truck or company car, from a cargo van up to a 26,000-pound truck.
- Provide delivery, removal, and service support for products at service centers and customer accounts.
