This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The technician will wear proper personal protective equipment and attend and successfully complete required technician training classes. A key responsibility is maintaining the necessary set of tools for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications. The technician will diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The role requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods of work, work areas, and safety standards. Inspecting components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs and completing required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs and account for repair times are also essential. The technician will monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure the supervisor is aware of any cost overruns before job completion. Approaching work in a positive manner, maintaining conduct supportive of the work team, and setting standards for others are expected. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations, and training or mentoring others in the department are also part of the role. Other duties as assigned will be performed.
