This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. The technician will attend and successfully complete required training classes, maintain a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. Responsibilities include diagnosing and performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The role requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods of work, work areas, and safety standards. The technician will inspect components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs and complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times. Monitoring job expenses versus repair estimates and informing the supervisor of any cost overruns before job completion is crucial. The position also requires approaching work positively, maintaining conduct supportive of the team, training and/or mentoring others, and performing other duties as assigned.
