About The Position

Toromont Cat is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Sudbury. In this role, you’ll travel directly to customer sites in a Toromont service truck to deliver exceptional service and product expertise. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment to the highest standards, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and with integrity.

Requirements

• A valid Technician License relative to this position, following Provincial standards
• Minimum 3 years of experience in repair and service of heavy equipment both in the shop and in the field
• Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS would be beneficial)
• A valid Driver’s Licence (DZ Licence preferred)

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS would be beneficial)
• DZ Licence preferred

Responsibilities

• Travel directly to customer sites in a Toromont service truck to deliver exceptional service and product expertise.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment to the highest standards.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and with integrity.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and leveraging top tier technical skills.
• Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the field.
• Maintain excellent communication and trusted customer relationships through regular on site visits.
