About The Position

The Field Service Technical Coordinator II supports a fast‑paced, high‑energy global Field Service team by providing daily process and administrative support to keep technical operations running effectively. This role coordinates pre‑ and post‑trip support, managing travel and dispatching Field Service team members, overseeing logistics, maintaining parts and inventory in coordination with Advisors, supporting travel coordination, handling document control, and contributing to ISO compliance and review. The position also supports and leads continuous improvement initiatives, assists in developing and streamlining systems and processes that support global Field Service functions, and helps implement new departmental processes in partnership with the Field Service Management team and Technical Advisor team. The role is highly interactive, engaging frequently with internal departments and LGC personnel globally.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 4+ years in an administrative, customer service, or technical support environment
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and/or web-based page layouts and object editing
  • Requires an individual who is team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years in an administrative, customer service, or technical support environment within the manufacturing or life sciences industries
  • Has an understanding of various mechanical/electrical verbiage, ability to identify parts per descriptions, etc.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SalesForce, or any other CRM or ERP platforms

Responsibilities

  • Works with Field Service Management to assign, dispatch, and review service visits
  • Coordinates travel scheduling for repairs, updates, preventative maintenance, and re‑installs, while staying informed on trip needs from technical case support to ensure proper distribution of Field Service resources
  • Encompasses a wide scope of responsibilities, supporting diverse processes and collaborating with numerous corporate teams domestically and internationally
  • Documentation control, upkeep, and review within Field Service
  • Works with Field Service Management and team members to organize internal and external training events (apprentice and COT)
  • Coordinates scheduling and logistical needs with customers, distributors, and LGC teams, including travel and accommodation support. Handles pre‑training preparation such as room setup, instrument placement, material readiness, and ensuring trainers have what they need for the upcoming sessions
  • Supports customers in finalizing dates and accommodations and maintains clear internal communication with trainers and managers. Oversees upkeep of training calendars and communication channels
  • Responsible for maintaining Field Service compliance with LGC’s defined ISO level, including document control, process creation, and identification of risk areas
  • Supports compliance efforts for new markets, contributing to required documentation and process development
  • Works with the Service Manager(s) to coordinate training team members on new practices, approaches, and processes
  • Supports improvement initiatives and change management, including preparing and rolling out training materials for internal teams
  • Performs other duties as required, or assigned by management, to meet business needs
