Requirements

Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education upon hire.
Graduate of technical program upon hire.
Training validated through training certificates upon hire.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing technical equipment upon hire.
Driver's License: CA (AUTO:CA) upon hire required.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized repair and maintenance services for diagnostic imaging (radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, etc.) and biomedical equipment, expanding on FSS I duties.
Primarily repair and maintain intermediate imaging equipment (DR, basic CT/CT Sim, oncology, Vascular/Specials), leveraging training to reduce contract dependency.
Lead within Clinical Engineering, assisting FSS with imaging equipment repair, and manage service emergencies and communications with stakeholders.
Order parts.
Cover for Account Manager.
Identify new service opportunities.
Analyze cost histories for expense reduction.
Support general biomedical equipment as needed.
Perform repair and maintenance primarily on general imaging such as X-Ray units, Portable X-Ray units, Fluoroscopy Systems, CR Units, and Mammography units.
Complete all necessary record keeping for work orders received and finished.
Assist in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the most cost effective maintenance of medical imaging equipment.
Provide on-call coverage on a rotating basis and other duties as assigned.
Repair and maintain medical equipment under contract and perform general biomedical duties and functions as required.
Provide input to the CE Manager regarding new service opportunities within a location serviced by the Clinical Engineering Division.
