About The Position

Visionix USA is seeking a home-based Field Service Representative who resides in New Jersey to support advanced medical and ophthalmic equipment throughout New Jersey, New York, New England, and occasionally other areas of the United States. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves installing equipment, diagnosing technical problems, making repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and helping eye care professionals keep equipment operating reliably. The position requires more than 90% travel, with travel expenses covered. Ophthalmic experience is not required; training on Visionix products and equipment is provided. The role offers independent field work, support from an experienced technical team, and the opportunity to develop specialized skills in medical technology.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of field service experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on biomedical equipment experience.
• At least 5 years of experience servicing, maintaining, or repairing medical devices.
• Ability to diagnose problems, think critically, learn quickly, communicate effectively with customers, and work independently in a field-based environment.
• Must reside in New Jersey.

Nice To Haves

• Industrial equipment service and repair experience.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Military technical or equipment maintenance experience.
• Technical support and customer-facing service experience.
• Ophthalmic experience is not required; product and equipment training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain sophisticated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Provide on-site technical support to customers.
• Manage parts and trunk inventory.
• Complete service documentation and RMAs.
• Travel throughout New Jersey, New York, and New England, and occasionally nationwide.
• Support and mentor other technicians as experience is gained.
