Field Service Representative (Lafayette, Louisiana)
About The Position
Oversee and instruct various Service Companies and rig personnel in proper handling and make-up criteria for VAM USA products. This role involves supervising rig crews/casing crews in the implementation and field evaluation of new products. The representative will perform critical inspections of VAM USA products on-site to field inspection criteria and provide procedural support to ensure efficient product installation and maintenance for optimal performance. The position requires following up with customer representatives to identify improvement areas and build relationships, as well as being responsible for service report fulfillment. The role may also involve accompanying or assisting sales with customer calls and maintaining/controlling all equipment and accessory inventory. A key responsibility is verifying connection signatures for acceptance or rejection and calibrating connection make-up equipment. The representative will also be responsible for ordering needed service equipment and shipping it to job sites. Safe execution of the Smith System of driving on company vehicles is mandatory. The role requires being available "On Call" in accordance with company policies and procedures to satisfy customer requirements and adherence to all company policies, running procedures, specifications, and safety standards. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience to meet skill level.
- Minimum 5 years in OCTG services.
- Advanced knowledge of well completions.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP.
- Ability to read, write and speak well in English.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be available for frequent extended travel both domestically and internationally.
- Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.
