About The Position

MasterTech is hiring an experienced Field Service Mechanic in the Orangeburg, South Carolina area to maintain, diagnose, and repair a diverse line of diesel trucks and equipment. This is a remote/resident field mechanic position: service vehicles are taken home, and mechanics are dispatched remotely.

Compensation is $30.00–$40.00 per hour, with higher wages available based on experience. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available. The role offers a field service vehicle, gas card, company cell phone, boot and tool reimbursement, quarterly profit-sharing opportunities, a 401(k) with company match, two weeks of vacation, sick days, personal days, and a comprehensive benefits plan. The schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift, with a 7:00 a.m. start. Overtime is available.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, working with diesel trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or similar equipment.
• Experience working in the field.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks.
• Basic to full set of hand tools.

Nice To Haves

• Education from an accredited technical school is preferred but not required.
• CDL preferred.
