About The Position
Join PIRTEK as a Field Service Mechanic – Mobile Sales and Service Technician (MSST). PIRTEK, the nation’s leader in on-site hydraulic and industrial hose replacement, is hiring for this role for its PIRTEK Athens location. This is a fast-paced, rewarding career path in a mobile environment serving primarily the construction industry. As a PIRTEK MSST, you’ll be working out of a fully equipped service van, visiting customer sites to diagnose hydraulic faults, remove and replace faulty hoses, and ensure the equipment is back in optimal working condition. PIRTEK franchises are locally owned and operated by people interested in your success. Many Mobile Sales and Service Technicians go on to become Operation Managers, Business Managers, and even Franchise Owners themselves.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical background, preferably with construction equipment experience.
- Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in varying conditions, including extreme weather and challenging terrains.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Clean driving record and pass a background check.
- Own or acquire the necessary tools prior to completion of training.
- Proven mechanical experience, especially with heavy construction equipment.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Pride in delivering quality workmanship and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing hydraulic issues on construction and industrial equipment.
- Building and installing hydraulic hoses on-site.
- Verifying repairs to ensure equipment functionality with no leaks.
- Providing exceptional customer service and fostering customer relationships.
- Collaborating with existing customers and generating leads for new business.
