About The Position

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing and repairing track equipment at various customer sites, both locally and remotely. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, rebuilding component modules, testing for functionality, and assisting with system start-ups. The engineer will also support customer source inspections and recommend equipment improvements. Significant travel, up to 70% of the time, is expected, potentially including weekends. The position requires staying current with industry developments, submitting timely reports and documentation, and working collaboratively within a team. Specific duties include occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, using hand tools in confined spaces, and working in various physical positions for extended periods. The role also involves performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • 2-years direct installation, maintenance and repair of TEL Mark / ACT and SVG track equipment or equivalent field-related experience
  • Minimum of 2-year electronics technical school diploma or equivalent industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair track equipment at local and remote sites.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures as required.
  • Rebuild component modules; test for functionality and assist with system start up at customer and home factory locations.
  • Assist with customer source inspections at home factory or customer locations.
  • Recommend equipment improvements or design changes based on personal observations, factory, customer, and rep input.
  • Travel as required to perform installations, source inspections and repair of equipment.
  • Keep up-to-date on engineering changes and new developments in the industry.
  • Submit all reports including expenses in a timely manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and complete assigned documentation.
  • Work in a team atmosphere.
  • Maintain an up-to-date passport.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
