About The Position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Engine Technician / Mechanic to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Ocala, FL. In this role, you will make an impact by completing repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field, developing productive customer relations, and ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. You will apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. You will also assist with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens. You will complete training in line with skill and business requirements and ensure adherence to all meaningful Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to your supervisor.

Requirements

  • Advanced Technician Level III: Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this location, including EV and Power Generation; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets.
  • Flexibility to work various hours and days of the week with the ability to be on call and available for emergency needs.
  • Must meet all requirements to drive a Company vehicle including a valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment as required.
  • Locally valid driving permit.
  • Significant field service work experience.
  • Electrical Vehicle and Power Generation experience.
  • Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred).
  • A current valid license is required for this role.
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
  • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
  • 3 years driving experience.
  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.
  • Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age.
