About The Position

BlueFin, a GATE Energy Company, is a leading independent service company with a suite of project execution niches and specialty equipment, covering a full range of pipeline and process services, mechanical, and umbilical services. Our clients range from End Users to General Contractors in the upstream, midstream, and downstream market sectors of the energy industry. BlueFin is based in Lafayette, LA. We’re seeking an energetic and self-driven Field Sales Representative to join our dynamic Business Development team! As a Field Sales Representative at BlueFin, you’ll play a vital role in our mission to power the future. You’ll be the face of our brand, traveling to client locations, opening new doors, and nurturing customer relationships.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the energy sector
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Comfort with CRM and sales software tools
  • A growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning
  • Ability to travel extensively and represent BlueFin with professionalism
  • Must pass a background check, drug screening, and/or physical examination.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities
  • Build personal, lasting connections with clients and prospects
  • Communicate product features and benefits clearly and persuasively
  • Negotiate sales terms to maximize profitability
  • Represent BlueFin at client offices, conferences, and industry events
  • Provide feedback to internal teams and share insights from the field
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and transactions
  • Collaborate with Business Development Reps to close deals and support growth
