This role involves providing exceptional service to current customer base while building new business relationships through shop and jobsite visits, over the phone, and through accurate order entry. The associate will also be responsible for increasing sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional as well as new products. The role requires working cooperatively with other team members, such as coordinating deliveries, communicating customer needs with associates, and other branch operations as needed, while following ethical standards and complying with company policies that ensure a safe, friendly, and team-oriented family culture.

Requirements

  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, as well as proficiency in order entry processes using our Epicor Solar Eclipse system, VAMAC's intranet, or other systems as applicable
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms (i.e. in-person, phone, email, etc.)
  • Ability to stand and walk for long duration, as well as lift up to 80 pounds
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Current Driver's License
  • Travel Required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years experience within the industry (sales, plumbing, order entry)
