About The Position

TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Field Recruiter working in its Midwest territory, which includes Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. The role requires 80% travel within the designated territory.

The Field Recruiter develops and maintains recruiting sources within the assigned geographic territory and delivers quality applications for over-the-road driving positions. The recruiter builds relationships with commercial driving schools, presents opportunities to potential hires in person and virtually, sources new candidate channels, and engages applicants throughout the recruitment cycle. The role also involves maintaining accurate recruiting records and collaborating with recruiting team members to facilitate applications.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in recruiting or sales.
• An associate or bachelor's degree, preferably in Transportation or Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to speak to and influence potential candidates.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel as an essential function of the job.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a network of contacts with commercial driving schools to identify and source quality applicants.
• Conduct face-to-face and virtual presentations to connect with prospective hires and capture leads for open positions.
• Maintain working knowledge of open job requisitions, including the duties, qualifications, and skills needed for hires in the assigned territory.
• Proactively source new channels to attract candidates.
• Keep accurate records throughout the recruitment cycle, including weekly schedules, leads, and application follow-up.
• Contact and engage potential candidates throughout the recruitment cycle.
• Collaborate with recruiting team members to facilitate the application process.
• Travel within the designated territory as an essential function of the job.
