About The Position

Whizz is seeking a Field Recovery Specialist to collect and retrieve electric bicycles and mopeds from debtors. The role involves communicating with debtors about outstanding balances and collections, coordinating effectively with law enforcement and delinquent customers, and managing work through CRM, Google Sheets or Excel, and Notion. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois, and involves travel across different parts of Chicago as well as day trips within Illinois and to other cities. The job posting lists the position as a 1099 contract, with pay of $20–$22 per hour and a higher rate based on recovery volume. Gas and tolls are compensated.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in security, police, the military, or a related field.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, organization, and interpersonal abilities.
Own a car and be willing to use it for the job; a larger car is preferred for transporting bikes.

Responsibilities

Conduct round trips to collect and retrieve electric bicycles and mopeds from debtors.
Communicate confidently with debtors regarding outstanding balances and e-bike collections.
Manage tasks using CRM, Google Sheets or Excel, and Notion.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by other departments.
Communicate effectively with law enforcement and delinquent customers.
Work in various parts of Chicago and travel within the state and to other cities for day trips.
