About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time armed security officer for a financial institution in Mahwah, New Jersey. The role combines armed patrols and vehicle operation with customer service and clear communication. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, vendors, and the site by maintaining a visible presence, following site-specific procedures, and responding professionally to changing situations. The scheduled shifts are Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $26.13 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location while following site-specific procedures and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment according to applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
• Operate a vehicle responsibly while performing driving duties.
