About The Position

The Principal Architect – HPE Campus & Branch is a senior technical member of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Field PLM organization. The role provides expert architecture and technical leadership for strategic Campus & Branch opportunities and customers, partnering with Field PLMs, Territory Managers, Systems Engineers, Product Management, Engineering, and Support to win complex opportunities, develop and validate architectures, remove technical barriers, and protect the customer install base. The architect serves as a high-level technical expert for the HPE Mist Campus & Branch portfolio and helps scale the broader field organization’s capabilities. The role engages on technically complex or high-impact customer situations, including strategic new logos, competitive takeouts, large-scale and multi-domain designs, complex migrations and proofs of concept, and critical customer issues. It leads technical discovery, architecture discussions, solution design, architecture reviews, and validation; identifies risks and product gaps; and builds customer confidence in HPE Mist solutions. It also owns complex designs across wireless and wired assurance, switching, campus fabric and EVPN-VXLAN, access assurance/NAC, segmentation, branch/WAN, Marvis, APIs, automation, and third-party integrations. The Principal Architect supports critical customer satisfaction issues and escalations by diagnosing whether causes stem from product, configuration, architecture, operations, or a combination; coordinating technical workstreams; validating remediation plans; and communicating findings and recovery actions to customer technical leadership. The role mentors Field PLMs and Systems Engineers, develops reusable architecture resources and enablement, delivers advanced training and knowledge transfer, and conveys field feedback to Product Management and Engineering. Success is measured by business, architecture, customer-success, organizational, and product impact. This role is designated Remote/Teleworker, with the employee primarily working from home. Travel is required as needed to support strategic opportunities and customers.
