Field Marketing Manager

About The Position

Puzzle is redefining how companies navigate their financials. We've built modern, AI-powered accounting software that empowers accounting firms and the founders they serve with real-time, comprehensive financial insights. Our platform drafts books in real time, integrates natively with Stripe, Ramp, Mercury, Brex, Gusto, and more and delivers AI-powered analysis that goes far beyond traditional accounting systems. Accounting is relationship-driven. Startups are network-driven. The way we win is through trust, presence, and relationships built in the room — and we need someone to own that motion end to end. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who loves being in the field, builds relationships naturally, and knows how to tie every activation back to pipeline. You will own the planning and execution of field events, online and in-person, across both of Puzzle's core segments. You'll work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure every event has clear objectives, structured follow-up, and measurable outcomes. This is not a strategy-only role. You'll be in the details — sourcing venues, coordinating with partners, managing logistics, and making sure Sales has everything they need to convert. Day-to-day work can be done remotely, but candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area are strongly preferred. Willingness to travel for conferences and events is required.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years in field marketing, event marketing, or community marketing in B2B SaaS
  • Organized and execution-focused — you can manage multiple events simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Strong relationship builder — you're comfortable reaching out to partners, venues, and communities to make things happen
  • Calm under pressure — events go sideways and you handle it without drama
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where you build the playbook as you go
  • Based in San Francisco or Bay Area and willing to travel regularly
  • Candidates should be currently residing in the U.S. or Canada to be eligible for this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada without requiring new visa sponsorship or transfer of an existing visa.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fintech, accounting tech, or vertical SaaS
  • Familiarity with the accounting firm event circuit — Scaling New Heights, Engage, Digital CPA
  • Existing relationships with tech stack partners like Ramp, Mercury, Brex, or Gusto
  • Experience coordinating co-branded or partner events

Responsibilities

  • Own Puzzle's presence at key accounting conferences: Scaling New Heights, Engage, Digital CPA, and others
  • Plan and execute executive dinners, peer roundtables, and firm gatherings tied to industry events
  • Coordinate sponsored event opportunities — getting Puzzle in front of qualified accounting firm audiences efficiently
  • Build repeatable event playbooks that Sales can activate consistently
  • Plan and execute founder dinners, roundtables, and community meetups
  • Coordinate presence at accelerator events, startup community gatherings, and VC-hosted programs
  • Build relationships with accelerator and founder community operators to create ongoing event opportunities
  • Work with Puzzle's tech stack partners — Ramp, Mercury, Brex, Stripe, Gusto, Deel, and others — to plan and execute co-branded events for both accounting firms and founders
  • Coordinate joint activations, shared event sponsorships, and partner-hosted experiences
  • Manage partner event relationships and ensure clear pipeline attribution from every co-branded program
  • Plan and execute webinars and virtual events for both accounting firm and founder audiences
  • Manage end-to-end: topic, speakers, promotion, logistics, and post-event follow-up
  • Build a consistent virtual event calendar that keeps both audiences engaged between in-person moments
  • Own the full event lifecycle: sourcing, logistics, vendor management, budget, and post-event Sales handoff
  • Build clear Sales handoff processes — warm introductions and context, not cold leads in a spreadsheet
  • Track and report on event ROI: meetings booked, pipeline influenced, attendance quality
  • Continuously optimize the mix based on what's actually driving pipeline
